In my mind no greater work of comedy has been made. Tommy Boy hits all the notes that a good movie needs. I believe Chris Farley was destined for greatness before his life was cut short by his own demons. This movie has more heart and soul than the majority of films being made, and that is entirely Farley’s doing.
I think going into this film with the POV of seeing Chris be a fat fuck up is what hurts it the most. Instead rewatch or watch for the first time and pretend for a moment that you are watching the next great actor of our time finding himself in his craft.
