Kill Team is exactly the game I've been searching for since I started gaming. A tactical experience with a strategic arc. The game plays in a way that for me is nearly perfect. The fact that the game is both deeply thematic and strategic is a triumph.
As a bonus I get to participate in creating the game pieces through miniature painting and hobby time. In some ways this makes the game more immersive and fun for me.
This is currently my most favorite game. And I have collected and built every official team released.
