Supergiant makes excellent games, but they aren’t always my cup of tea. Hades is different in many ways, but primarily its gameplay is so simple to learn, yet hard to master it keeps me looping my way through the underworld in a vain attempt to escape.
It’s no secret that Supergiant is a studio known for its storytelling and writing chops. Hades may very well be the most ambitious and well executed example of that as well.
