I came across this series of books right after I had gotten back into reading for fun. I immediately fell in love with the world and characters. So much so by the second book I was so invested in these lives that I was prone to tears from interactions and fates.
This series is eight books long, and it is absolutely wonderful cover to cover to cover.
If you are a Harry Potter fan, and sad about the current state of that fandom, give this series a try.
